Once your home sells, the buyer will hire a home inspector to inspect your home for any issues that might give the buyer concern. They may then request that you repair these issues before closing. These repairs are negotiable, of course.
We recommend that you have your home inspected before you put it on the market. Review the inspection report with your Realtor who will point out the repairs that buyers are most likely to request. You will then have time to find qualified contractors to make repairs at a fair price rather than rushing to get repairs done prior to closing. Proactively address problems so that your home is in the best possible shape.
Your Realtor can advertise the pre-listing inspection as a feature of your home, giving buyers confidence that they will be purchasing a home with no major problems.
